I did some concept illustration work for Amplify, a new educational software/system to help children with their school subjects using tablets. These illustrations were for style test/proof of concept for the 'Core' map area that would have served as the main navigation area in the system.
Ultimately, these concepts didn't get past this exploration stage but it was a fun project to work on.
