My favorite thing to do is find people's art I admire and reach out to them and see if they'd be interested in collaborating on an illustration. I'm a big fan of Ryogo Toyoda's rich use of color and shapes so I asked him to make a little scene together and he accepted!
Here's a hillside camping trip scene we worked on. We bounced the 3D file back and forth a few times and sent edits / notes to each other over the course of a few weeks. I learned a lot working with him about how he models characters and it also helped me start to grasp Octane as a renderer.
Ryogo handled the final render on his end in Octane. Be sure to check out his amazing work!
Initial sketch (Ryogo drew over my rough SUV/hillside render after we talked about the idea a bit)
